What are MicroDeposits?

Microdeposits are small amounts of money that are put into your bank account. These are used to verify that people own the bank accounts that they are using on our site. Two small amounts are put into your account, this may take up to 2 business days to happen. You see what the amounts are and then put them enter them when you log back in. When they match what we put in, you confirm that you own the bank account that you are using. THEY MAY TAKE UP TO TWO BUSINESS DAYS TO APPEAR IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!.

What if the deposits never appear?

Most commonly a mistake was made in entering bank account information. Leaving out a number or using the wrong number are most common. Email us and we can help you check. You cannot use an account on our application that you do not own or administer.

How do payments work?

All payments are sent through our secure payment portal. All rent payments are transferred as an electronic funds transfer (EFT).

How Fast Do Funds Transfer?

Dwel.co is limited by banking regulations on how fast it can transfer funds between accounts. With our normal EFT service, rent payments will be received in a landlord's account between 2-4 business days.

Is Dwel.co Secure?

We utilize the most secure technologies. Encryption is employed in all key aspects of the website to ensure that your data is secure and your usage is the safest possible. We also comply with PCI standards, which means that our servers are also physically secured in a security badge protected facility.

Who sees my information?

Only you see your account information, account numbers, credit card numbers, etc. The landlord or property manager only has the ability to tenant see name, email, phone number, and profile image. Our priority is maintaining your discretion, we do not store your credit, debit, or any other payment method information.

Can I make changes to my profile?

Absolutely! Just go to your Dashboard, click the "EDIT" button and make any changes you want!

Can I use my Mobile Phone?

Dwel.co is accessible by iPhone, iPad or any iOS device, through our free mobile web application.

Can I use Dwel.co’s services anywhere?

Dwel.co is currently only for use in the United States due to financial regulations. We will be expanding into other countries soon!

Is my information saved?

Our application is housed on a secure server. This means that even if your computer crashes, your information is still safe and secure.

How can I change my email and contact information?

You have complete control over your account. Just go into your Dashboard and click on the "My Account Tab". Edit any information you want, any time you want, online, or on your mobile device.

What if I need information that isn't in this FAQ section?

Can I use this with Commercial Rental Properties?

Yes. Simply set it us as a rental unit in your Dashboard!

What if my tenant or renter doesn't use Dwel.co?

Not a problem. You can invite them and they can sign up in a few minutes time. They can be accepting your rent payments online in less than 10 minutes.

How can I change my email and contact information?

You have complete control over your account. Just go into your Dashboard and click on the "My Account Tab". Change anything you want any time you want.

Landlords

What Do I Need to Use this Service?

1) You will need a clear color image of your driver’s license or government ID. 2) You will need to enter your social security number (we do not store it). 3) You will need a bank account/routing number from which to withdraw or deposit funds. 4) You will need to enter your address and other personal information.

Can I terminate my subscription at anytime?

Yes, you may terminate your subscription at any time. There are two ways to terminate a subscription. You may completely delete your profile which will in turn delete your account and all data associated with your account permanently. The second way to terminate your subscription is to stop paying the yearly $30. If you choose to stop paying the $30 yearly fee, then you will not able to log back into your housing portal and all operations will be put on hold. If you wish to continue using our service and pay the $30 fee for the next year then you may continue to utilize your personal platform with all of your previous data & account information preserved.

What if my landlord doesn't use Dwel.co?

Not a problem. You can invite them and they can sign up in a few minutes time. They can be accepting your rent payments online in less than 10 minutes.

How do I invite a new renter to Dwel.co?

In your Dashboard, you can manage your renters for each individual property that you own. Just click on the "Add Tenant" button and fill out the required information. It should take you less than a minute.

Tenant

Is my payment instantly processed?

Your rental payment is sent directly to your landlord the instant that you click the send button or approve the payment to be sent. Some financial services institutions require a day or more for the payment to clear their records. When this clears it will be reflected on your balance in their books.

If I make a mistake, can I have my money refunded?

Absolutely! Just contact us and we can reverse the charges or debits to your accounts. This is one benefit of ePayments. They're a lot easier and faster to work with than paper checks. Refunds may take a few days to process as your credit card company or bank determines processing time, but your refund is ensured. Any additional concerns regarding payments however, will need to be worked out with your Landlord.

Can I invite a landlord to use Dwel.co?

Absolutely! You can refer them in your Dashboard when you setup your account

Does my landlord ALSO have to have a Dwel.co account?

Yes. Both renters and landlords need a working account on Dwel.co in order to be linked, so that you can make electronic rental payments to them.

Can I use a credit card to pay my rent with Dwel.co?

Credit Card use to make rental payments is subject to additional processing fees associated with the credit card company.
